Longfellow LIFT

LIFT is a group of Longfellow Neighbors who have been engaging our neighborhood, learning what we all want out of the future, and are investing time and money in pursuing their vision.

Vision 

A neighborhood that prioritizes walkability, meets daily needs, and creates opportunities for frequent, informal social connection. 

Mission 

We invest in Longfellow properties, facilitate activities, and support businesses to improve walkable access to daily needs and create spaces that inspire social connection in our neighborhood. 

Strategic Priorities 

1. Financial viability and responsibility: we don’t lose money, we make a modest amount for members, we have reasonable financial entrance and exit strategies, we keep money local 

2. Make it easier for all neighbors to meet daily needs locally via walking 

3. Make it easier to have informal social connections within the neighborhood
